Product Policy Panel Study Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, analytically minded Project Manager to lead operations for a portfolio of longitudinal panel studies focused on AI use, trust, safety, and well-being. These studies are central to understanding how AI is shaping people’s lives over time and informing product, policy, and research decisions.This role will serve as the operational backbone for complex multi-wave studies, ensuring research is executed rigorously, ethically, and on schedule. You will work as part of a research team, and closely with legal and compliance partners, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to build durable, high-quality research infrastructure.What You’ll DoStudy ExecutionLead delivery of multi-wave panel studies from launch through closeDrive timelines, vendors, and cross-functional coordinationMonitor fieldwork, retention, and data quality; resolve risks quicklyGovernance & ComplianceOwn IRB / ethics submissions, amendments, and review cyclesPartner with legal, privacy, and policy teams on compliant executionData & Research OperationsDeliver clean, analysis-ready datasets and documentationSupport privacy-preserving survey and platform data linkageMaintain longitudinal consistency across measures and wavesDocumentation & External ImpactMaintain clear protocols, decisions, and study recordsSupport internal readouts, publications, and external collaborationsPrepare materials for peer review and conferencesQualificationsProject management, research operations, or program management experienceExperience managing complex external vendors or research partnersStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to coordinate across technical, legal, policy, and research teams in a fast-paced environmentFluency with data analysis workflows, including experience using SQL and R to query, clean, validate, and summarize complex research datasetsFamiliarity with survey research, longitudinal study design, experimental methods, and quantitative social science researchExperience with IRB / ethics processes or regulated research environments is a strong plusExcellent written communication skills and judgmentWhat Success Looks LikeStudies launch on time and run smoothly across multiple wavesResearch teams can focus on insights while operations are managed with excellenceNew studies benefit from reusable infrastructure and operational learningsCross-functional partners trust the rigor and compliance posture of the programFindings are translated into high-impact internal decisions and external publicationsWhy This Role MattersThis is a rare opportunity to help build the research systems that shape how AI is understood and governed.
