We provide training to get you started, and on-going professional development. We use the Orton-Gillingham methodology. Students are assigned to your caseload, and you are responsible for planning, prepping, executing lessons, and communicating with families. Our work environment includes: Modern office setting Work-from-home options Casual work attire Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Safe work environment Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in various subjects. - Assess students' academic needs and develop personalized learning plans. - Create engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding of the subject matter. - Utilize effective teaching strategies to support students' learning and academic growth. - Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed. - Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure students' success. - Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment for students. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or currently pursuing a degree). - Previous experience working with students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity. - Strong knowledge of the subject(s) being tutored. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to effectively manage a classroom or small group setting. - Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning. - Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special education needs. - Passion for education and a desire to help students succeed.
