Distribution Associate
Schedule: Part-time; Mondays and Tuesdays required, otherwise flexiblePosition Summary: Responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and packaging letters, booklets, and other printed materials for daily distribution. Ensures all shipments are accompanied by the appropriate documentation and handled in a timely manner to support high-quality service for both internal and external customers.Essential Job Functions:Operate machinery/equipment used to process daily mail and other print jobs.Perform all the following functions: sort, fold, hand / machine insert letters and enclosures; process letter retypes and reprints; operate printers, cutters, tabbers and pallet jacks; provide monthly activity reports as requested.Efficiently and accurately pick and pack orders for production and prepare for shipment.Check-in, observe and communicate with team members to assess areas needing assistance.Carry out shipping processes and procedures to maintain production efficiency. Including proper labeling on all shipments.Create, maintain, run shipping records.Fulfill subscription back-starts and missed copies.Maintain appropriate records and documents assigned to support internal and external audits.Use equipment such as pallet jacks to move large quantities of work.Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate a safe and efficient work environment.Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. - this position is not a remote or telecommute position.Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements and guidelines.Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off requests.Non-Essential Job Functions: Assist in daily end of day processes in order to mail output in an accurate and timely manner.Collate, staple and assist in copy center jobs as necessary.Maintain and run reports, as requested.Crosstrain in all distribution department functions to support and assist other members of the team, as needed.Education:High school diploma or GED equivalentExperience: Mechanically inclined is helpful/preferred.6 months experience in a distribution or shipping environment preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience in detail-oriented work demonstrating ability to meet strict deadlines.Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become certified under the organization's pallet jack training program.Computer Skills : Basic knowledge of PC systems and keyboarding skills.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsActivityFrequencyInside WorkCOutside WorkN/AUse of Hands/FingersCLifting/Carrying: 40lbs.
