Facility Portfolio Data Analytics Analyst

R&K is seeking a Data Analytics Analyst to support our Federal/Department of Defense clients in a real estate and real property program. Work will be conducted primarily as telework. The Data Analytics Analyst will execute the annual DoD real property data set, the associated annual reports and customized reports based on customer requests. The Data Analytics Analyst will focus on generating data analysis of the DoD real property portfolio with the aim to deliver decision-quality data solutions in response to senior leadership requirements.R&K is an employee-owned company and an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer. EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability.DutiesCreate a consolidated data set based on multiple inputs and data formatsExecute existing quality assurance reports and develop additional reports to support anomaly identification and validation and verification of data setsCreate analytic reports to provide data insights into data relationships; provide trendsExecution of annual and ad hoc reports based on customer requirements. Ability to reuse and refine existing code. Maintain existing tools and develop new tools along with documentation and peer code reviewAnalysis of real property data through SQL, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and PythonData analysis using Python programming at the introductory to advanced levelsCreate reports using data visualization to support analysis and summary of the real property dataMaintain and create technical documentation for all work products using clear file naming conventions; support team review Must be able to clearly communicate with the end customer and team members on report requirementsWork collaboratively with stakeholders and team members to understand and detail report requirements and develop, explain and demonstrate the technical solution. Must be comfortable with an iterative approach.Analyze and problem solve data quality issues and associated architectureUnderstand and communicate to team members how databases delivers data, how the application presents data, and all the business rules that govern the data.Review and analyze BI report content to validate data and provide analytical insights Experience working independently and collaborate with the team, and seeking reach back support as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Business Information Technology7+ years or more of relevant experienceActive or capable of achieving a DoD Secret security clearance which requires US CitizenshipExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to work with a small team effectively Strong experience in Python Programming Strong experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, SQL Ability to learn to query and code in Microsoft Access using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)Ability to data mine; taking large data sets and creating focused data setsStrong organization and documentation skillsExperience creating reports that are customer readyMust have the ability to learn functional concepts associated with DoD real property data and conventions Ability to learn Microsoft Azure DevOps and Microsoft TeamsStrong knowledge of technology and capable of learning different technology to meet product, project, and customer needs and business aspects.Proficiency with remote work management tools and platforms, ensuring regular communicationParticipate in the software development life cycle, including daily scrum meetingsManage tasks to ensure it is completed on-timeDesired QualificationsBasic object-oriented terminology, such as classes, methods, and eventsBasic HTML knowledgeExperience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
