You'll collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and OEM customers to maintain world-class quality standards, oversee audits and certifications, resolve quality concerns, and support operational excellence across the facility.Responsibilities include:Lead and manage the Quality Assurance departmentEstablish and monitor quality objectives, training initiatives, corrective actions, and preventive actionsManage customer scorecards, customer portals, and quality performance metricsDrive root cause analysis and corrective action processes to ensure timely issue resolutionCoordinate calibration programs and resolve gage-related concernsManage monthly tool inspection activitiesLead external audits and maintain annual audit schedules for quality management systems and suppliersMaintain supplier certifications and quality compliance documentationEnsure customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements remain current and properly implementedMaintain certifications including IATF, AIAG, BIQS, and other applicable standardsManage and support quality-related databases, including calibration, PPAP, inspection, supplier quality, and program management systemsSupport first-time-through (FTT) reporting, layered audits, and quality performance trackingServe as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and external quality stakeholdersLead and mentor Quality Engineers and APQP/customer quality personnelCommunicate quality concerns and corrective actions throughout the organizationOversee containment activities, sorting operations, and certified material programsPartner with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve error-proofing systems and process controlsInterface directly with OEM Supplier Quality Engineers regarding performance, approvals, and process validationsSubmit quality documentation for process changes, new production lines, and related projectsMonitor third-party vendors for quality performance, on-time delivery, accuracy, and cost reduction opportunitiesTrack containment effectiveness and production quality metricsSupport continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operationsManage document control processes and revision-level complianceRequirements and Qualifications:3+ years of leadership experience in an automotive environmentStrong management experience in handling direct reportsKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 requirements and compliance standardsAbility to maintain all internal/external certifications (IATF, AIAG, BIQS, etc)Experience with automotive quality inspections, audits, and quality management systemsExperience with continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving techniquesExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilitiesAbout the Hiring Company:Our client is a well-established automotive manufacturing organization committed to delivering high-quality products and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
