DescriptionPosition at The Animal Hospital of Smithson Valley Client Service Representative - Veterinary ReceptionistThe Animal Hospital of Smithson Valley is seeking a full-time Client Service Representative (CSR) to joinour team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our hospital in Spring Branch, TX, a suburb of San Antonio. We're growing our team to support the addition of a new doctor, and would love to hear from you!CSRs are invaluable members of our veterinary team, and we treat them as such. As a CSR, you will be the client's first and last impression of Smithson Valley. It's important that all clients feel welcome, safe, and comfortable which is why it takes a special person who can engage with both humans and animals alike with compassion, patience and understanding. The primary responsibility of a CSR is to be efficient in front desk operations while effectively bridging communication between pet owners and our veterinary team.If you're ready to thrive in an environment that encourages learning and continued growth within the profession, we would love to hear from you!Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Greet and welcome each visitor and assess their needsHandle incoming phone calls/emails and determine the urgencyPerform client check-ins and check-outs, including reviewing invoicesCommunicate visit expectations to clients, assist owners with pet management to minimize unsafe situations and client's stressProcess and document financial transactions accuratelySchedule appointments based on client expectations, patient medical requirements and clinic needsManage emergency situations and walk-insRespond to online requests for products, prescriptions or client questions in a timely mannerMaintain cleanliness in the lobby areas, exam rooms, and general stocking of client or patient areasRecommend products available to clients through our facilitiesSkills and Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredAt least two years of customer service experience requiredExperience in a veterinary practice (or human medical practice) preferredExperience with Microsoft Office suiteExcellent communication skills and the ability to problem solveAbility to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectivelyTeam player, have patience and maintain a positive attitudeMust be able to lift up to 30 poundsBenefits and Perks:Paid time off & holiday pay401K with company matchMedical, vision and dental insurance with multiple optionsComplimentary short-term disabilityComplimentary life insurance for employeeCompany-sponsored Employee Assistance Program (Headspace)Long-term disability option (paid for by employee)Progyny-Fertility and Family Building SupportDigital Musculoskeletal & Physical Therapy Programs Team Member Discounts for Pet Care& moreThe Animal Hospital of Smithson Valley is dedicated to providing top-notch care to small and large animals in Spring Branch and the surrounding areas.
