Senior Risk Manager

Lead and manage an integrated project risk-management program for a large-scale, technically complex, multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure program.Establish and continuously improve risk-management processes, governance, procedures, escalation paths, roles, and accountability across project functions and work packages.Lead structured risk identification and assessment activities, including risk workshops, interviews, reviews, and development/maintenance of comprehensive project risk registers.Identify, assess, and monitor risks across technical, cost, schedule, procurement, operational, organizational, and external areas, including risk interdependencies and opportunities.Perform and/or oversee quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis, including probabilistic analysis, scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, risk drivers, confidence levels, and contingency assessments.Develop and track risk mitigation and response strategies, assigning owners, target dates, expected outcomes, and monitoring the effectiveness of mitigation actions.Integrate risk management with project controls, cost management, scheduling, engineering, procurement, construction/installation, testing, commissioning, and change-control activities.Conduct forward-looking risk analysis, identifying emerging risks, trends, leading indicators, cumulative exposures, and potential impacts to project objectives.Develop executive-level risk reports, dashboards, heat maps, presentations, and decision-support materials, clearly communicating risk exposure, trends, mitigation status, and key risk drivers.Facilitate risk reviews, executive briefings, cross-functional workshops, and stakeholder discussions, translating complex risk information into clear, actionable recommendations.Provide risk-management training, guidance, lessons learned, and continuous process improvement, helping project teams strengthen risk-management maturity and consistency. Key QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in project risk management, project controls, program management, or a related discipline.Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative risk methodologies, cost/schedule risk analysis, risk registers, and mitigation strategies.Experience with Monte Carlo simulation or comparable probabilistic risk-analysis methods is preferred.Strong understanding of project cost, scheduling, engineering, procurement, project controls, and execution processes.Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, organizational, and senior-level stakeholder management skills.
