CGP - Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $47.00 to $58.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities:Lead and support the accounting team, ensuring accurate execution of accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and reconciliations. Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and ensure timely financial reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports. Oversee daily cash activity and manage short- and long-term cash flow planning. Develop tools and reports to evaluate product and departmental performance, including profitability by customer and product line. Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is a plus. Minimum of 5+ years in a senior-level accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience in preparing financial statements and tracking performance metrics. Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices. Proven ability to manage core accounting functions such as payroll, general ledger, AR, and AP. Qualifications:Skilled in presenting financial data clearly to executives and external stakeholders. Experience coordinating audits and supporting tax return preparation with external partners. Proficient in budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to explain variances and trends. Familiarity with QuickBooks Enterprise is helpful; advanced Excel skills are essential. Capable of managing relationships with financial institutions, auditors, insurers, and vendors.
