Inspired Solutions is seeking a qualified and experienced Board Certified Urology Surgeon to provide onsite Urology Surgery Physician Services. The Urologist will deliver a comprehensive range of urology surgery services, ensuring that the care provided meets or exceeds national standards as established by the American Association for Urology. This role includes clinical coverage, consultation, evaluation, assessment, treatment, and performing both minor and major surgical procedures. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide onsite urology surgical care to eligible beneficiaries at the Columbia, VA Health Care System. Ensure the standard of care is equivalent to that provided in state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facilities. Offer on-call coverage and respond to call-back requirements as scheduled, in addition to the standard 40-hour workweek. Participate in consultations, evaluations, and the treatment of patients, including performing necessary surgical procedures. Collaborate with VA residents and physicians, providing phone consultations during off-hours and ensuring timely patient examinations when needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with scheduled operating days on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. On-call duties are required during non-clinic hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a mandatory 30-minute response time for in-person evaluations when necessary. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Board Certified by the American Board of Urology Surgeons. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent. Compliance with all continuing education requirements to maintain Board Certification. Ability to respond to emergency situations within a 30-minute travel radius of the Columbia, VA Health Care System VAMC.
