Duties Decorate cakes and baked goods with artistic flair, ensuring each creation meets high standards of presentation and quality Prepare and assemble baked items, including pastries, bread, and other confections, adhering to recipes and food safety protocols Package baked goods efficiently for display or customer purchase, maintaining freshness and appealing presentation Assist customers by providing friendly service, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including food handling stations, display cases, and storage spaces Support food production by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and monitoring baking times to ensure consistent quality Follow all food safety guidelines and proper knife skills during cake decorating and food preparation tasks Qualifications Previous experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is highly desirable Strong skills in food handling, food safety practices, and kitchen hygiene standards Knowledge of baking techniques, culinary processes, and the food industry best practices Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with catering or restaurant settings is a plus but not required Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation equipment are beneficial Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary talents can flourish!
