Delivery Driver

Job Description Oak River Deliveries is contracted to deliver packages for Fedex. We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to transport packages primarily in rural areas of South Dakota using a light delivery van. This role involves driving over 100 miles daily and working independently within a small team. The ideal candidate will ensure packages are delivered safely and efficiently, adhering to all compliance standards, including passing background and drug screenings as well as DOT physical. Seasonal fluctuations in delivery volume require adaptability and strong time management skills. ResponsibilitiesDeliver packages accurately and on time across rural routesInspect vehicle daily to ensure safety and operational readinessDrive safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulationsInteract professionally with customers and provide excellent serviceLoad and unload packages carefully to prevent damageComply with company policies and DOT regulations Preferred QualificationsEntry-level experience in delivery driving with light vehiclesKnowledge of defensive driving techniquesFamiliarity with route navigation and optimizationStrong time management and organizational skillsExcellent customer service and communication abilitiesUnderstanding of safety compliance and problem-solving skills
