Construction Engineer III position involves a mix of administrative and engineering duties related to the development and execution of multiple network infrastructure projects. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities and qualifications: Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination & Completion: Manage the coordination and completion of cell site modification projects within deadlines. Direct, monitor, and report on third-party vendors performing site inspections, structural analysis, design, and construction tasks. Documentation and Compliance: Review and manage technical documentation, including bill of materials, construction drawings, and equipment specifications. Approve project closeout packages and ensure all modifications are completed as per requirements. Vendor & Financial Management: Select, manage, and liaise with third-party vendors. Initiate Purchase Orders and ensure the financial tracking of projects, from initial bids through final product or service receipt. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal departments such as RF Engineering, Construction, Transport, Project Management, and Network Assurance. Interface with landlords and government agencies to obtain permits, conduct inspections, and secure certificates of occupancy. Communication & Reporting: Ensure effective communication by providing timely updates, participating in meetings, and explaining issues clearly. Maintain project documentation and record-keeping, ensuring accurate tracking of milestones and expenses. Project Financial Management: Monitor budgets, monthly spending, and account receivables for accuracy. Ensure financial aspects of the project align with goals and timelines. Permit & Certification Management: Pursue building permits, ensure construction inspections are completed, and secure certificates of occupancy for network facilities. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing projects effectively and independently. Ability to organize and maintain project tracking databases, draft business case justifications, and ensure accurate site documentation. Experience with Wireless Infrastructure: Previous experience in wireless network infrastructure is preferred, especially with site modification projects (e.g., macro and small cells). Financial Acumen: Experience in financial management, including budget monitoring, vendor payment processing, and tracking project spend from initial quotes to final services. Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with both internal teams and external vendors/clients. Ability to clearly explain technical and non-technical issues, provide updates, and respond to queries in a timely manner. Self-Direction and Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative, and demonstrate high levels of self-motivation.
