Data Reporting Analyst
CAPIS is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong professional to support the production and delivery of Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) reports for institutional clients. This role is responsible for managing large volumes of trading data, ensuring report accuracy, and supporting internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a combination of data management and analysis, as well as the ability to work closely with Sales and Software Development teams. Pay Range: $75,000 - 85,000ResponsibilitiesTCA Report Production & Data Management Produce and maintain TCA reports on a quarterly and ad-hoc basis Manage and validate large datasets related to equity and multi-asset trading activity Perform reconciliation and quality control procedures to ensure data integrity and report accuracy Investigate anomalies, outliers, or discrepancies in trading data and performance metrics Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting workflows Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Software Development to troubleshoot data feeds, data normalization, reporting tools, and system enhancements Provide structured feedback to improve reporting automation and analytics functionality Coordinate with outside custody banks regarding daily data downloads Sales & Client Support Assist Sales team in preparing client-facing materials Participate in internal strategy discussions regarding TCA presentation and positioning Help respond to client inquiries related to analytics methodology or report interpretation Contribute to presentations, RFP responses, and marketing collateral involving TCA capabilities Process Improvement & Controls Support development of scalable reporting processes and internal controls Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation, and data governance Assist with audit-related requests tied to reporting outputs or data validation Analytical Review & Quality Assurance Conduct detailed analytical review of execution quality metrics and benchmark comparisons Ensure consistency and accuracy of analytics outputs across reporting periods Identify trends, insights, and potential areas of client value enhancement Support continuous improvement of reporting methodologies and processes QualificationsRequired Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field Strong analytical and quantitative skills High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced institutional environment Preferred Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data tools Understanding of mutual fund, pension, and trading workflows Key Competencies Analytical rigor and problem-solving mindset Process orientation and operational discipline Client service mindset Cross-functional collaboration capability Intellectual curiosity about market structure and execution quality
