Software Test Technician

Role: Software Test technician Duration: 12+ MonthsLocation: Sunnyvale, CA 94086Pay range: $40/Hr to $45/hrEssential Job DutiesExecute processes and procedures, test methods, and fixtures for clinical simulation utilizing clinical and engineering knowledge.Execute test protocols for clinically based surgical simulation, automated testing, and functional verification.Generate test plans, protocols, and reports with guidance from appropriate engineering teams.Participate in the product development lifecycle, including the design review process.Review design documentation and UI prototypes to assess usability.Required Skills and ExperienceLearn the elements of the software build process to effectively execute, monitor, and troubleshoot as necessary.Evaluate instrument designs using measurement devices and inspection tools.Identify, reproduce, and escalate new or persistent software or hardware-related failure modes to management and engineering teams.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and document findings in the bug-tracking database.Complete documentation of test protocols, results, and reports.Required Education and TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience working in a software test environment.Associate's (AS) or Bachelor's (BS) degree in a scientific discipline is a plus.Proficient in Linux OS, including navigating the file system, managing processes, and executing shell commands via the terminal.Quick learner who takes direction well and shows initiative.Team player who values shared responsibility and shared success.Preferred Skills and ExperienceExperience with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testing methodologies.“We are an equal opportunity employer.
