Kitchen Worker

DescriptionJob Summary:Keep the kitchen staff supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans and utensils, maintain kitchen equipment, keep kitchen clean and stocked, and assist cook by preparing various food ingredients, while remaining in compliance with all Clark County Health Department (CCHD) and OSHA rules, and company policies and procedures as they pertain to the position.Essential Job Functions:Re-stock dishes in front of restaurantMay perform other prep work for food itemsMiscellaneous side jobs such as marrying ice cream and filling dressingsWash dishes, glass, silverware and all other service ware and other cooking utensils, pots and pans using proper water temperatureDeep clean stainless steelInspect dishes and utensils after washing to ensure their cleanlinessClean and sanitize all worktables, equipment and potsMaintain all dishwashing machines in operating order with necessary chemicals, detergents and additivesMaintain all kitchen equipment through regular cleaning and report any and all malfunctionsEnsure that kitchen floors are free of debris and spillsClean and mop kitchen floors, steam clean floor matsStock produce on shelves and rotate properlyPrepare vegetables for soups and saladsBreak down boxesCheck garbage for accidental discard of silverware and other equipmentRemove garbage from kitchens and dump it in the designated waste areaDeliver and re-stock dishes to food outletsBus tubs on front and back of cook's line in food outletsStock garnishments, condiments, and ingredients for sundaes, salads, soupsPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsWork Environment:Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidaysMust be able to work in close quarters or small rooms and is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditionJob Requirements:Must be able to speak, understand, and read EnglishMust be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, environment and work under pressure and meet deadlinesBasic knowledge of operation and maintenance of dishwashing machines and high pressure water power cleaning machinesKnowledge of cleaning chemicals, their purpose, ratios, toxic value and course of action if ingested or unprotected contact is madeMust maintain valid Clark County Health CardHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredMust be able to work with speed and efficiencyPhysical Requirements:Substantial periods of standing, walking, bending, pulling, lifting, reaching, twisting, squatting, kneelingMust be able to push or pull a minimum of 250 lbs.Must be able to lift waist high minimum of at least 50 lbs.Must possess the physical ability to access all areas of the restaurant
