Mold Technician
Mold TechnicianThe Mold Technician will be responsible for changing over molds in the injection molding machines between production runs. This role involves ensuring machine setup, safe operation, and equipment safety features are properly functioning.ResponsibilitiesTrain and assist associates in performing preventive maintenance assignments.Perform machine setup, operate machinery safely, and ensure safety features are functioning.Record and dispose of scrap accurately and complete rework at the end of each day.Perform lock-out and tag-out (LOTO) procedures for clearing equipment faults and restoring machine energy.Inform Team Leader or Production Manager of any quality or safety issues.Complete paperwork and data entry accurately.Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.Assist in monitoring and maintaining all TPM Goals including Safety, Scrap, Customer Defects, and In-Process Defects.Support and participate in continual improvement projects for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS).Perform maintenance on equipment in specific work areas and make necessary machine adjustments to produce quality parts.Operate heavy equipment including cranes and forklifts.Essential SkillsExperience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to stand for shifts outside of break time.Good interpersonal skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds or more.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mold setting, injection molding, blow molding, and manufacturing.Skills in machine operation, mold handling, mechanical tasks, hand tool usage, production control, and troubleshooting.Why Work Here?Join a workplace that values safety, continual improvement, and the development of technical skills.
