Quality Control Technician

Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Quality Control Technician responsible for ensuring the integrity of in-process and finished products for powder coatings. You will conduct various tests, including spray panels, gloss checks, and color testing, to maintain the highest quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPerform quality control tests on in-process and finished powder coatings.Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for out-of-spec products.Confirm the quality of finished products for final release.Exercise stop authority when nonconformance is detected.Accurately enter test results into the SAP system.Essential SkillsQuality control experience, especially in paints, coatings, or inks.Strong understanding of root cause analysis and handling nonconforming products.Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.Ability to make decisions and take ownership in quality control processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications1+ years of experience in powder coating with quality testing background is preferred.Bachelor's degree is desirable.Experience in quality control within the food or pharmaceutical industries is considered.High School diploma or equivalent is required.Work EnvironmentYou will work primarily in the Quality Control office with occasional trips to the production floor to collect samples. This position operates on the 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed. The dress code is casual with a lab coat provided.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Elgin, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
