You are assisted with loading of our trucks by our Yard Equipment Operators. The key to your success is your safe operation of the trucks and ability to leave the load in the customer’s desired location.This role is an specialist level position that requires the license to drive a flatbed truck. You also need good communication skills and customer service skills. Generally, you are the last person that our customer has contact with, so your friendly interaction and respect for their property will be remembered.ResponsibilitiesComplete pre-trip inspections of your truckVerify that the load matches the order before leaving the storeCall customer to confirm delivery and give an estimated arrival timeOn occasion, load a flatbed truck with a Moffett forkliftDrive a heavy truck to deliver landscape materials such as mulch and rockListen to the customer, and drop load in the desired locationCarry your CDL medical cardRecord all driving in the driver logWash and maintain the delivery trucksDeliver transfers between our storesWhen not driving, assist in the yard with hand or equipment loading of landscape materials Assist with special requests from managementRequired QualificationsCDL Class B licenseClean Motor Vehicle Record for at least 7 yearsAbility to have positive and friendly interactions with customersAbility to have clear communication with colleagues in person and over radioAbility to work steady and safely around people and vehiclesDesired Qualifications Experience using a Moffett forkliftExperience working with a wheel loader or other heavy equipmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.Ability to work outside in all weather conditionsPowered by JazzHR
