Network EngineerA growing controls systems integration firm in the Phoenix area needs an experienced Network Engineer. This Network Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing, and assisting with designing communication networks within their organization and for their clients. Experience is needed to create networks for industrial systems to be secure and robust to allow secure communications between numerous types of industrial automation.The position requires both design and implementation skills. The successful candidate must be able to work with clients to determine network requirements and to implement new technology into their existing networks. A focus on industrial network security must be used when designing and implementing networks. Maintaining and improving the internal corporate network will also be a large part of this position. The candidate should also enjoy teaching others and working within a team environment.Why Work Here?Established company with multiple officesGreat company cultureExcellent compensation, base plus bonus!Full benefits and company pay employees premiums!401k matchingVariation of industries including energy, water, food and beverage, manufacturing, baggage handling, mining, and moreResponsibilities:Install, setup, and configure complex network environments including Cisco switches, routers, access points, and other devices vital to business and industrial operationsTroubleshoot connectivity issues and outages in a wired (802.3) and wireless (802.11) TCP/IP network.Identify and recommend mitigation strategies for network threats and risks.Assist in the design and implementation of network security equipment such as firewalls, rule sets, and ACLs.Create and maintain configuration documentation for networks.Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with third-party vendor interaction for resolutionTroubleshoot/Repair/Manage system and network components including network infrastructure including Cisco switches, servers, UPS, NTP ServersFiber and Ethernet network design and configuration including routing, VLANS, network security, etc.Administer network servers and services including active directory, policy administration, security, asset management, file servers, etc. when neededNetwork audits at customer facilities for industrial network security and network improvementsPenetration testing of internal and client systems and networksTraining of engineering staff for IT-related technologiesRequired Skills:Experience in implementing secure network infrastructure both from the ground up and incorporating into existing systemsUnderstanding of IP protocols and the ability to analyze communication patterns through the inspection of network trafficKnowledge of tools and strategies used to defend communication networks against cyber-attacksExperience in configuration and managing LAN equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VOIPKnowledge of industrial protocol standards (e.g., DNP3, MODBUS, ETHERNET/IP, OPC, etc.)Knowledge of NERC-CIP, NIST, ISA99, and ICS-CERT security standards and requirementsExperience in network and vulnerability assessmentsKnowledge of non-ethernet industrial networks and media such as ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, Profibus, etc. is a plusUnderstanding of mesh networking topologies, design, and configurationKnowledge of cloud computing and storage especially as it applies to network securityProficient skills in handling customer relationsProficient scripting skills (e.g., LUA, Python, Powershell)Need to be a confident communicator and possess excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAvailability to travel and obtain a passportQualifications:CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification, or equivalent experience supporting Cisco or equivalent managed switches, routers, and firewallsCertifications or experience and training in network security. Preferably Industrial Network Security.
