Childcare Lead Teacher Ages 0-2
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children that encourage curiosity, explorations, and problem-solving.
-Provide the children with age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, and social growth.
-Adapt teaching methods to meet the children's varying needs, interests, abilities, developmental levels, and learning styles.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff by maintaining open and cooperative communication with all and to encourage parents involvement in the program.
- Monitor and supervise children during playtime, meals, outside play, and naptime
- Assist with potty training and personal hygiene tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Observe and assess children's development and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and coordinate special events or field trips
-Educate yourself on all state compliance regulations to childcare as well as our own internal policies and procedures, and to enforce (when necessary) in a professional and caring manner.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills
- Must be lead teacher certified in the state of NC
- Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques and strategies
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young children
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Understanding of child welfare guidelines and regulations
-A positive mindset towards child learning and development
- Desire and ability to work with children with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability
- Able to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Self-control- the ability to maintain composure and keep emotions in check during stressful situations
- Dependable, responsible, and punctual

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Understanding of childhood development principles to create age-appropriate activities.
