Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency to support various manufacturing and construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure that all structures and assemblies meet strict quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Duties
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics to measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and fabricated components.
Operate fabrication machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading equipment to create precise parts.
Conduct rigging and assembly of structural components on construction sites or within manufacturing facilities while adhering to safety standards.
Maintain strict compliance with ASME codes & standards during welding and fabrication processes.
Support mechanical assembly tasks including pipe fitting, machining, soldering, and the use of schematics for complex systems.
Assist with crane operation, forklift handling, and other site logistics to ensure smooth workflow on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
Qualifications
Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocols and site procedures.
Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, as well as specific welding standards.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment.
Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, ductwork fabrication, assembly processes, and rigging operations.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Experience with crane operation or forklift handling is a plus but not mandatory.
