Process Engineer and Client Solutions ManagerLocation: Pasadena, TXDescription:The Process Engineering and Client Solutions Manager leads the front-end development and detail engineering of industrial projects within Process Industry facilities, including energy, alternative energy and chemicals. Projects will fall both into our EPC and modular divisions. This role is crucial in establishing client relationships and ensuring that projects are designed to meet client needs from the outset and will be a key player in client-facing meetings, internal process design calculations, development of process information and deliverables, as well as working closely with other disciplines.Success in this role is critical to our growth plans and our Process Engineering and Client Solutions Manager will be integral in helping to shape our business plan as we continue to grow front end and process capabilities.Core Responsibilities:Lead front-end process engineering design efforts for FEL and early project phases, ensuring alignment with client goals and project requirementsServe as the primary technical point of contact associated with process design for clients during project development, offering expertise and building strong client relationshipsFacilitate and participate in client meetings, understanding client needs and translating them into actionable engineering deliverablesPrepare and review Process Engineering deliverables, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balances, and equipment datasheetsSupervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high-quality work and professional growthManage project timelines and budgetsProvide timely and accurate internal reporting of project progress, compiling weekly reports for the Process Engineering ManagerInterface with clients, third-party contractors, and internal engineering departments to ensure cohesive project developmentEssential Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering required.10 years’ Process Engineering design experience with a strong focus on front-end projectsProficiency in developing and reviewing PFDs and P&IDs, with a deep understanding of their role in early-stage project developmentStrong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and persuasive mannerExperience with equipment sizing and specification for pumps, heat exchangers, process vessels, and compressorsProficiency in Aspen HYSYS and other process simulation tools to develop preliminary design concepts and validate project feasibilityExperienced in relief valve sizing and Flare system designAbility to develop instrument Process specifications for items such as control valves, transmitters and flowmetersProficient in system hydraulics and line sizing for single phase liquids and gases and multiphase linesAttend PHA/HAZOP reviews and provide technical inputLeadership and mentoring skills to guide junior engineers and foster a collaborative working environmentEnvironment:Remote and on-site work. Visits to job sites may be required on occasion, as needed.
