Maintenance (PLR)

Job DescriptionThis position is primarily responsible for performing general/preventive maintenance and repairs, as well as ground maintenance. Performs maintenance repairs such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.ResponsibilitiesEnsures all safety precautions are followed while performing workMaintains working relationship with co-workers, property management and clientsCompletes daily work orders as scheduledAbility to use vacuum cleaners to clean rugs, carpet and blindsPower wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows and doorsMaintains assigned equipment in good working conditionMaintains shop, equipment rooms and storage areas in a neat, organized and secure conditionAssists and performs installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, flooring mechanics and other minor building/community repairsEnsuring all property maintains exceptional curb appeal by keeping the grounds and buildings clean and properly maintainedAssisting in lawn and landscape maintenance and amenitiesUtilization of company truck for transportation of supplies and material to job sitesRoutinely inspects and communicates to immediate supervisor as applicableOther tasks and projects as assigned by managementQualificationsBilingual (Spanish/English) requiredOne year experience in building maintenance or constructionProfessional appearance and demeanorKnowledge of manual and electrical hand toolsMust be able to operate motorized equipmentValid Texas Driver’s LicenseAbility to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends based on project requirementAbility to pass a background check and drug screenPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objectsWork involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircasesAble to work in all weather extremesWork involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist.
