About The RoleShipcom Wireless IoT is looking for a solid IoT Integration Backend Developer who will take on a key role on our development team. As a IoT Integration Backend Developer, you will lead and drive integration with various IoT providers to solve business use cases.This role will be a very hands-on role driving the overall technical and solutions architecture for integrating backend services with IoT vendors. As a back-end web developer you will be responsible for server-side web application logic and integration of the work front-end developers do.This is a unique opportunity to join a small team and have a large impact across different sides of the business as it advances quickly to meet customer demand. As an integral member on the team, you will have a massive impact on our product’s success.What You’ll Be Responsible ForLeading or supporting cross-functional solution design efforts involving applications, IoT platforms, data and analytics, networks, and securityTaking accountability for solution requirement definitions, conceptual, and high- and low-level design artifact generation for solutions involving IoT, plant / manufacturing data, and Azure analyticsIntegrating using Rest APIs, AMQP, MQTT protocols and .Net Core with the IoT ProvidersHelping maintain a roadmap of IoT technical architecture servicesDeveloping expertise in areas of technical need (e.g., for emerging technologies in IoT)Supporting IoT team mvp exercisesSupporting IoT technology and edge computing solution design effortsHelping maintain and develop technical standardsHelping develop cross-functional technical services, including DevOps pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code, digital-self-serviceSupporting vendor reviews, including vetting IoT and SaaS vendorsExpected Skills/Qualifications5+ years of IT experience3+ years of Solid experience with cloud solution design patterns (microservices, messaging, distributed caching, containers etc.)3+ years of Extensive working experience with .NET, React and Kubernetes3+ years of IoT experience, including experience on at least two of the following three technologies: Azure, IoT Hub, Industrial IoT3+ years of IT technical design experience overall (either exclusively or across applications, data, IoT infrastructure, networks, or security)2+ Years of IoT Edge Computing2+ Years of solution technical design involving Microsoft Azure, including both high-level solution design, and detailed technical designPast experience in Big Data and Advanced Analytics technical architecture, preferably Microsoft AzurePast experience Scalable IoT Ecosystem design, including networking and sensor integrationAzure Solution Architect certification preferredJob Type: Full TimeJob Location: Houston Shipcom HQ
