Our client is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Legal & Policy Sourcer to own passive candidate sourcing for critical Legal, Policy, and Government Affairs hiring. This role is fully dedicated to proactive talent identification, market intelligence, and long-term pipeline development across highly competitive legal and regulatory talent markets.This position requires deep familiarity with legal and policy candidate ecosystems, exceptional outreach skills, and strong sourcing operations discipline. The Sourcer will function as a core partner to Recruiters and Hiring Managers, directly impacting the company's ability to scale safely and responsibly.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Pipeline DevelopmentOwn end-to-end sourcing strategy for Legal and Policy rolesProactively identify and engage passive candidates from: Law firmsIn-house legal teamsThink tanksPolicy and regulatory organizationsBuild and maintain robust pipelines across: Technology and IP attorneysRegulatory specialistsPolicy researchersDevelop creative sourcing strategies that diversify beyond inbound and referralsConduct market research and competitive intelligence across legal and policy hiring trendsTrack compensation benchmarks and evolving talent market conditionsCandidate Engagement & ExperienceCraft highly personalized, mission-aligned outreach for legal and policy professionalsServe as the first point of contact for passive candidatesDeliver a high-touch candidate experience that reflects Anthropic's valuesBuild and nurture long-term relationships for future pipeline needsCollaboration & Recruiting OperationsPartner closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to: Calibrate role requirementsPrioritize sourcing effortsMaintain precise data hygiene in Gem and GreenhouseHiring syncsShare market insights, pipeline trends, and sourcing updatesContribute to sourcing enablement initiatives and best-practice sharingQualifications3+ years of sourcing or recruiting experienceStrong policy + government affairs sourcing experience (ideally federal/think-tank/advocacy org backgroundsProximity to DC, or demonstrated experience supporting DC-based teams if possible.Proven success recruiting for: LegalPolicyGovernment AffairsRelated G&A functionsDemonstrated ability to engage and convert passive candidatesStrong understanding of:Law firm structuresPolicy organizationsAdvanced proficiency with:GemBoolean search techniquesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsData-driven recruiting mindset with experience tracking sourcing metricsStrong organizational ability with multiple concurrent prioritiesAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.J-18808-Ljbffr
