Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Director Data & AILocation: Dallas, TXDuration: Full TimeReporting To: Chief Data OfficerRole OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Data & AI leader to serve as a direct report (N-1) to the Chief Data Officer, driving enterprise-wide data strategy execution, AI transformation, and data-driven business outcomes. This role will play a critical part in translating the organization s data vision into scalable solutions, while partnering closely with business and technology leaders across the enterprise. Should be able to do good ontology is to understand the business very well. Strong experience in ontologies is required.Key Responsibilities Data Strategy & ExecutionPartner with the Chief Data Officer to operationalize the enterprise data strategy and roadmapDrive implementation of data platforms, governance frameworks, and analytics capabilitiesEnsure alignment of data initiatives with business priorities and measurable outcomes AI & Advanced Analytics LeadershipLead development and deployment of AI/ML solutions across key business functionsIdentify high-impact use cases and drive adoption of predictive and prescriptive analyticsOversee data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics teams Data EngineeringEstablish and enforce data governance, data quality, and data security standardsEnsure compliance with US regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable)Promote data stewardship and accountability across the organization Business Partnership & Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with business leaders to enable data-driven decision-makingAct as a trusted advisor to CXOs and functional headsDrive change management and data literacy across the enterprise Team Leadership & Capability BuildingBuild, mentor, and scale high-performing data, analytics, and engineering teamsFoster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learningDrive hiring, retention, and capability development strategiesKey Requirements15-18 years of experience in Data, Analytics, and AI, with at least 5+ years in leadership rolesProven experience working closely with or reporting to a Chief Data Officer / CXOStrong expertise in data platforms, cloud ecosystems, and AI/ML technologiesDemonstrated success in driving enterprise-scale data transformation programsExperience in industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, BFSI, or Technology preferredStrong understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory frameworks in the USExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsMaster s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in global organizations and managing distributed teamsExposure to GenAI, MLOps, and modern data stack tools
