Solution Engineer
Overview:
In this role you will partner with the sales team to demonstrate Snowflake's value to executives and technical audiences, shaping the progression from demo to proof of concept to deployment. You will stay ahead of industry trends, positioning Snowflake against competitors and collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing to improve offerings. You'll juggle business and technical conversations, solving complex customer problems and driving large deals in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities:
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to both executives and technical stakeholders
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and guide customers through proofs of concept to design and implementation
- Stay current on competitive and complementary technologies to position Snowflake effectively
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance products and messaging
- Navigate enterprise sales cycles and contribute to winning outcomes
- Travel approximately 30%Key requirements 7-8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a pre-sales role
- Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
- Broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python
- Ability to map customer business problems to Snowflake solutions and conduct deep discovery of customer architecture
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience; Masters in Data Science or MBA a plus
- Experience with GSIs (EY, Deloitte, Accenture) would be beneficial but not required
