Terms and Conditions apply.Job Levels and ResponsibilitiesClinical Nurse IIntegrates technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet patient and family needs. Assists the healthcare team with prevention of illness and injury, wellness maintenance, and comfort provision. Provides direction, education, and begins to develop leadership skills at the unit level. Delivers and documents age-specific care based on medical orders and an interdisciplinary care plan. Safely administers medications, identifying incompatibilities and interactions.Clinical Nurse IIDemonstrates mastery of clinical skills and applies knowledge to a specific patient population. Recognizes changes in patient conditions and intervenes appropriately. Mobilizes resources to meet patient and family needs. Provides leadership, education, and guidance at the unit level. Delivers and documents age-specific care based on medical orders and an interdisciplinary plan. Administers medications safely, identifying interactions.Clinical Nurse IIIShows clinical knowledge at the unit level and applies it to a specific patient population. Anticipates changes in patient situations and intervenes. Serves as a role model and provides direction and education. Delivers and documents age-specific care based on medical orders and an interdisciplinary plan. Administers medications safely, identifying interactions.Licensure, Certification, or Registration RequirementsCurrent RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state for all levels.AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent for continued employment.Experience RequirementsClin I: NoneClin II: 12-24 months RN experienceClin III: 3 years clinical experiencePreferred ExperienceClin I: Experience as LPN, nursing assistant, or care partner in acute care or relevant practice area.Clin II & III: Healthcare experience in similar patient populations, preferably in acute care.Education/Training RequirementsDiploma or Associate's Degree from an approved nursing program for all levels.All RNs without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in an RN to BSN program within two years and complete it within five years unless grandfathered.Additional RequirementsFollows documented orders and practices within Virginia nursing regulations.Guided by ANA Code of Ethics and national standards.Organizes work, delegates, and supervises others.Work Schedule and Physical RequirementsClinicians work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Schedules are flexible and may be adjusted. Physical demands include lifting 20-50 lbs, exposure to hazardous substances, prolonged standing and sitting, and other activities.
