Electrical Engineer
Job DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer Expert will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems for small robots and other ground-based vehicles based on customer requirements. The role applies mathematical and engineering principles to electrical system design, conducts research to develop new solutions and improvements, and contributes to new product development.The candidate will demonstrate expertise across electrical engineering concepts, practices, and procedures and may mentor junior engineers. This role reports to a Manager and works closely with the Technical Lead. The position requires strong independence, technical depth, and may include acting as a team lead.Key Responsibilities:Design electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic applicationsDesign, test, and develop test control apparatus and equipment, including defining testing methods and proceduresDevelop control systems, instruments, and applications for new commercial and industrial use casesEnsure manufacturing, construction, installation, and testing align with functional specifications and customer requirementsSupport operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installationsUse computer-aided engineering (CAE) and design tools to complete engineering tasksContinuously research and apply emerging technologies to improve design, development, and testing processesMandatory Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceProficiency in EDA toolsStrong analog and digital circuit design experienceExperience leading DFMEA processesKnowledge of functional safety analysisStrong communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentSome leadership experience preferred"All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran."
