Security Guard

Our property is seeking a dependable and observant Courtesy Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, team members, and visitors. Guided by our mission, vision, and core values, the Courtesy Officer serves as a visible presence throughout the property by conducting routine patrols, monitoring hotel activity, identifying safety concerns, and reporting suspicious or criminal behavior. This role is strictly "observe and report," meaning the Courtesy Officer does not physically intervene in criminal incidents. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to providing exceptional hospitality while prioritizing personal safety and guest well-being.Responsibilities:Prepare accurate end-of-shift reports detailing incidents, observations, and actions takenIdentify and report security risks, maintenance concerns, malfunctioning lighting, and other potential hazardsConduct regular indoor and outdoor patrols of hotel property to deter suspicious or criminal activityObserve and report suspicious behavior, abandoned vehicles, hazards, or policy violations to hotel management and local authorities when necessaryMaintain a safe distance and immediately contact law enforcement if witnessing criminal activitySupport a positive guest experience by maintaining professionalism and responding courteously to guest concernsMonitor guest areas, parking lots, stairwells, hallways, and public spaces for unusual or unsafe activityQualifications:Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills when interacting with guests, staff, vendors, and law enforcementBasic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, email platforms, and property management systemsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred; related security or hospitality experience is a plusAbility to walk the property for extended periods and work independently with minimal supervisionStrong observation skills with the ability to remain alert and professional in fast-paced environmentsReliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document incidents clearlyAbout Company:At ARK, our vision is to positively impact, and our mission is to raise the bar on what relationships, reputation, and returns mean in hospitality.
