Job DescriptionBalance Life & Work with a New Career Opportunity(LONG TERM CARE)(SKILLED NURSING)(ASSISTED LIVING)Now Hiring - Admissions Coordinator - Paramus, NJSalary range - $19.00-$25.00CareOne at The CupolaThe primary responsibility of the Admissions Coordinator is to assist in the census development and company admissions process as well as initiate and implement marketing activities which support census growth. Working with the Admission Director and Center Administrative staff the Admissions Coordinator assists with the coordination of all inquiries, admissions and daily communication with customers (families, referral sources, etc.) at the designated center. The Admissions coordinator will work to ensure regulatory compliance with all admissions processes and to ensure activities are in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures established by the company.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all administrative responsibilities related to facility admissions Verifies Medicare,Primary and Co-insurance prior to admission Make follow-up calls to discharged patientsComplete department data logs Work in concert with other facility staff to market and promote facility services to ensure occupancy and quality mix objectives are metInput all resident face sheetsDaily census verificationDistribute all necessary paperwork to pertinent staff prior to admissionComplete all admission applications and packets upon admissionComplete family toursCommunicate all admission questions and decisions to referral sourcesEnsure timely documentation of all admission recordsComplete manual daily censusOversee the accuracy and organization of census and daily facility bed board and room assignmentsCollect appropriate insurance cards, private pay funds and financial information prior to admissionsObtain necessary approvals on financial and clinical criteria prior to Admission utilizing company developed Admission policies and proceduresPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent1-2 years of experience in long term care admissions preferredSales experience desirableMust possess a sales-oriented personalityresults and achievement orientedMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general publicMust have patience, tact, positive disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents and families based on whatever cognitive level they are currently functioningMust possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing Admissions practicesMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionsMust possess the ability to empathize with both the older prospect and the adult childAbout UsThe CareOne mission is to define excellence within the health care community.
