This role will be responsible for setting up and operating various presses throughout the shop. Upon completing training and converting to a permanent employee, you will be automatically established within their Union and be eligible for union benefits.Responsibilities:Set-up and operate punch presses and support equipment.Perform operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructionsRead and understand blueprints, routing sheets and/or work instructions to determine specificationsMeasure completed work and use shop math to verify conformance to specifications.Maintain production efficiencies of 80% of greater once trained.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Understand tolerances such as +/-.005.Experience with Punch Press is preferred.Experience with Calipers/Micrometers.Experience reading blueprints/schematics.Read, understand, and follow all policies, processes, and procedures.Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communications.Proficient with basic computer skills.Lift up to 50 pounds.Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer (such as micrometers, calipers, wrenches, etc.).Experience in the metal stamping industry (preferred).One year of manufacturing experience (preferred).High school or equivalent.
