Chief Financial Officer
Stranberg has been retained to lead the executive search for a CFO on behalf of our client, a privately held manufacturer of custom-made furniture. With a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing model, customization and consistent execution are critical to success.Working closely with the CEO, owners, and leaderhsip team, the CFO will be responsible for the day to day operations of the accounting, HR, and IT departments, and for integrating financial insight across all functions — product development, manufacturing throughput, inventory governance, capital investment, and long-term enterprise value creation. The CFO will strengthen the financial infrastructure of the business while enabling thoughtful growth and protecting the integrity of the brand.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and management to accounting, HR, and IT departmentsStrengthen cost accounting, job costing, and margin visibilityEnsure pricing strategies balance complexity, customization requirements, and brand positioning.Implement financial dashboards that provide visibility into backlog, production throughput, labor utilization, and margin performance.Oversee data and systems infrastructure - ensure ERP utilization, reporting systems, and data integrityCapital budgeting: evaluate investment decisions including tooling, machinery, automation, and showroom expansion.Required Qualifications8+ years' of experience in a custom manufacturing, low-volume/high-mix, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environment15+ years' of financial leadership experience in manufacturing environments.Background in cost accounting, pricing strategy, and operational financeUndergraduate degree in finance and/or accountingCPA or MBA preferred but not requiredStay connected with future leadership opportunities—join our talent networkhttps://www.stranberg.com/stranberg-talent-network
