Thermoforming Operator - 1st Shift

*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Thermoforming Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team on the first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for operating thermoforming machinery to produce high-quality plastic components efficiently and safely. Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, safety protocols are strictly followed, and quality standards are consistently met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial equipment and contribute to innovative plastics manufacturing processes. *Duties* * Set up, operate, and monitor thermoforming machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications. * Conduct routine inspections of finished products using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to ensure quality standards. * Adjust machine parameters and troubleshoot issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, and other automation equipment to maintain optimal performance. * Perform safety checks and adhere strictly to safety protocols during all phases of machine operation and materials handling. * Utilize hand tools and other mechanical tools for minor repairs or adjustments as needed. * Handle materials efficiently using forklift/crane and warehouse experience, ensuring proper storage, movement, and inventory control of plastics and raw materials. * Maintain accurate documentation of production data, quality inspections, and machine maintenance logs in compliance with lean manufacturing principles. *Experience* * Previous hands-on experience in plastics production environments such as plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, or thermoforming is highly preferred. * Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting including PLCs and robotic systems. * Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform precision measurements in machining and quality control processes (FSSC/ISO). * Experience operating measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for dimensional accuracy assessments. * Knowledge of safety protocols within a manufacturing setting is essential; certification in safety procedures is a plus. * Basic math skills necessary for interpreting measurements and adjusting machine settings accurately. * Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is advantageous for efficient workflow management. * Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement and waste reduction in production processes.
