Engineering Intern / Co-op = Niagara Falls, NY 14304 = $23hr =R Full-Time Contract | Summer 2026 Assignment; Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 40 hours/week = June 2026 – September 2026Position OverviewA leading global manufacturer is seeking two Engineering Interns / Co-op students for a hands-on Summer 2026 assignment supporting manufacturing operations in Niagara Falls, NY.This opportunity is ideal for engineering students interested in manufacturing, process improvement, continuous improvement initiatives, and practical shop-floor experience. Interns will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to develop and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that improve safety, efficiency, and operational consistency across the manufacturing environment.This role provides direct exposure to real-world manufacturing operations, cross-functional teamwork, and industrial process documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Process SupportDevelop, standardize, and publish SOPs and work instructions for manufacturing processes and production equipmentCollaborate with operators and supervisors to document best practices and process workflowsSupport document control initiatives, process updates, and training material developmentAssist with continuous improvement projects, including data collection and basic process analysisSpend time on the production floor learning workflows, safety standards, and quality expectationsPartner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams on process optimization initiativesWhat You'll LearnReal-world manufacturing and production operationsProcess documentation and technical communication skillsCross-functional collaboration in an industrial environmentContinuous improvement methodologies and operational best practicesManufacturing safety and quality standardsRequired QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Graduate-level Engineering program (or related field)Junior-level undergraduate or graduate student preferredAvailable to work full-time daytime hours during Summer 2026Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skillsSelf-motivated with a proactive mindsetAbility to work safely in a manufacturing/production environmentPreferred QualificationsPrevious manufacturing or industrial experienceInterest in process improvement, operations, or production engineering
