In this role, you’ll help ensure our customers receive the highest quality products and service by inspecting, repairing, and restoring furniture in customers’ homes and residential settings.If you have experience with wood, fabric, and leather upholstery repair and enjoy hands-on work with excellent customer interaction, we’d love to hear from you!Position SummaryThe In-Home Furniture Technician is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and repairing merchandise while maintaining high standards for product handling, safety, and customer service. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in a residential work environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInspect, evaluate, and repair furniture merchandisePerform repairs on wood, fabric, leather upholstery, and bedding productsFollow safe and secure material handling proceduresReport documentation errors or discrepancies to supervisorsComplete paperwork and digital photo documentation accurately and neatlyMaintain organized and accurate customer parts inventorySafely operate manual and mechanical equipmentMaintain a clean and safe work environmentPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Skills & QualificationsExcellent verbal, written, and listening communication skillsStrong organizational and customer service abilitiesBasic reading comprehension skillsAbility to complete paperwork accurately and efficientlyHigh school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceMastery of wood, fabric, and leather upholstery repairBedding inspection certification in accordance with manufacturer guidelines preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to frequently bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift 50–100+ lbs. repetitivelyAbility to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers by phone and in personAbility to use a computer and read documents/screens regularlyAdditional InformationWork Environment: Residential / In-home serviceTravel: RequiredSupervisor Responsibilities: NoneSchedule may vary based on business needsApply today and become part of a team dedicated to delivering quality furniture and exceptional customer experiences!
