Find out more at www.getfluent.com. Follow us on LinkedIn. The Post-Harvest Associate is responsible for various tasks within the dry, cure, dry trimming, inspecting and bulk package processes. This position reports directly to the Post Harvest Assistant Manager and will also aid in harvest when available. The Post Harvest Associate is responsible for equipment sanitization and sterilization as well as maintaining workspace cleanliness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and process harvests for flower sales and oil extraction. Follow standard operating procedures for drying, curing, trimming and grinding cannabis harvests in preparation for oil extraction and/or flower sales. Accurately weigh and record post-harvest materials. Package and label product to ensure cannabis is ready for vault storage. Precise hand trimming of cannabis in its dried state. Assembles secondary packaging. Responsible for weighing, filling, and packaging work related to flower products. Observe, recognize, and report any sanitation or quality issues. Maintain a neat and organized work area allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes. Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning in a clean room manufacturing environment to maintain required standards. Responsible for organizing work areas and performing daily tasks such as washing and sanitizing equipment and racking systems. Sanitization and sterilization of post-harvest processing equipment such as stainless steel racks and shelves. Adhere to the departmental, site and corporate safety policies. Strict adherence to procedures and practices according to internal SOP and state regulation. Strong emphasis on documentation according to state regulations. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds. Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to stoop, bend over and/or crouch. Ability to tolerate moderate to loud noise level exposure. Ability to perform repetitive movement of hands, wrists, and forearms . Manual dexterity at a level sufficient to operate small tools. Competencies: Ability to perform repetitive actions with a high level of accuracy over time. Able to work variable shifts to meet business requirements. Ability to use a computer and to learn new programs for accurate record keeping. Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Qualifications High School Diploma Must be 21 years of age to apply per NY State regulations. Work Environment The employee will be expected to work inside in a cultivation and growing atmosphere and must follow GMP and GACP Quality standards. Use of mechanized equipment in warehouse environments should be expected. Physical Demands The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands include bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, walking, standing and using stairs to enter/exit the work area. The employee must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to maneuver between growing spaces that are 24 inches apart. The employee must also be able to repeatedly carry 15-20 pounds the length of warehouse/cultivation facility. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.
