Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing to lead accounting operations and support strategic financial decision-making. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can oversee the close process, strengthen internal controls, and partner with operations to improve financial performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reportingPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsLead cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and margin reportingPartner with plant and operations leadership to monitor production costs, labor, and overheadManage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planningEnsure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controlsCoordinate year-end audit activities and support external auditorsSupervise and develop accounting staffEvaluate and improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and ERP utilizationSupport capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset accountingQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilityPrior Controller or Accounting Manager experience within a manufacturing environment requiredStrong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory, and standard costingExperience with month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controlsERP system experience required; advanced Excel skills preferred
