These renewable electric generation resources, located mostly at high elevation in California mountain ranges including the Sierra Nevada and southern Cascade mountains include 68 powerhouses, 184 miles of canals, 41 miles of flumes, 135 miles of tunnels, 19 miles of penstocks, 99 reservoirs, and 142,000 acres of watershed lands all covered by 26 operating licenses issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Position SummaryManages and directs the entire Hydro Construction teams to assure that the department goals are attained and the company's vision is achieved. Oversees all work, planning, scheduling and budgeting done by the Hydro Construction group. Assures that the department is well positioned to help clients achieve their missions and goals. Oversees reporting to Power Generation's upper management and to clients on Hydro Construction's overall performance Travel will be at least 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays Field visits may involve some or all of the following activities:o    Ability to transverse over rock/uneven/steep terraino    Around water and helicopterso    Climbing up and down stairs and ladderso    Inside powerhouses, around loud rotating machinery, electrical and construction equipmento    Exposure to insects and pests (mosquitoes, bees, spiders, snakes, ticks, rodents etc)o    Travel on narrow and rough mountains, and/or in inclement weather conditions (dusty, rocky, muddy, snowy, icy conditions) This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (Chico).  PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.California Minimum:$125,000California Maximum: $215,000 This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Job Responsibilities:•    Ensures company and contract personnel comply with company safety standards and with all laws, regulations, company policies, standards and bulletins. •    Develops and implements safety procedures and standards and evaluates new and existing material, equipment, and tools that support safety. •    Evaluates safety near missies and incidents and develop corrective measures/controls to eliminate hazards.•    Leads the team to construct retrofit and respond to emergency work within PG&E Hydro system. •    Monitors all work performed to ensure quality and workmanship conform to company standards. •    Ensures employees are properly trained and contractors are fully qualified.•    Prioritizes work in the Hydro Construction group such that the maximum number of time commitments is made at the least cost. •    Forecasts adequate manpower, material, and equipment to ensure that jobs are completed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.•    Monitors costs to minimize expenditures and variances, and reports progress and status of active jobs monthly to the Project Manager/Project Lead. •    Coaches, mentors, and develops employees and provides timely communication and feedback. Qualifications -Minimum Qualifications:o    High school diploma or equivalento    Valid Driver’s Licenseo    Six years of job related experienceo    Ability to work in a field environment Desired Qualifications:o    BA/BS in Business Management, Finance, Engineering, or Construction Managemento    Journeyman Electriciano    General construction tradeso    6 years of experience in electrical, large rotating equipment, civil or mechanical construction management or engineeringo    2 years as Working Foreman or Sub-Foreman leading IBEW represented employeeso    Knowledge of MS Office, MS project, and SAPo    Knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJobo    Ability to read construction drawings/blue printso    Ability to prepare construction estimates and scheduleso    Willing to work overtime on weekdays, weekend, and holidays as needed
