Job DescriptionJob Title: Mechanical Maintenance EngineerDepartment: MaintenanceSupervisor: Maintenance ManagerJob PurposePosition involves practical, hands-on engineering, problem solving, and supervising technical staff.Job Responsibility SummaryRoutine maintenance of plant, equipment, machineryDesigning maintenance strategies, procedures and methodsScheduling planned and unplanned workDiagnosing breakdown problemsDirecting and/or instructing and supervising Maintenance TechniciansFamiliar with standard maintenance methodologies, equipment design, installation, and project managementRecordkeeping Must communicate with supervisors and coworkersSupervising projects while working hands on with team Maintain a clean and safe work environmentOther duties as assignedMinimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.)Education/ Required: 4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience.Licensure/CredentialsRequired: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringExperienceRequired: At least 5 years mechanical engineer experienceSpecialKnowledge/SkillsRequired: Equipment installation and preventative-predictive maintenance knowledge.Able to read blueprints and technical documentation with understanding process operations and maintenance.Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and CAD Systems.Training RequirementsEmployee will receive job specific training including safety, work rules, ethics, compliance, computer system, and other related topics.EVALUATIONSPerformance evaluations will be completed by the immediate supervisor by ongoing assessment of proficiency and performance.Physical Requirements/Hazardous Working Conditions(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
