Information Security Analyst

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled ISSO Support Specialist to assist in the implementation and oversight of cybersecurity policies, practices, and frameworks aligned with federal guidelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting RMF processes, managing security documentation, and maintaining compliance with FISMA requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and documentation skills, as well as a deep understanding of federal cybersecurity mandates and tools such as Xacta 360. Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor security controls aligned with NIST RMF (NIST SP 800-37, 800-53). Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and track remediation via POA&Ms. Ensure FISMA compliance, maintain accurate documentation, and manage updates using Xacta 360. Support incident response operations and assist in post-incident remediation efforts. Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare, review, and submit all necessary documentation and ATO (Authority to Operate) artifacts. Collaborate with internal IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure secure system configurations and processes. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience working with GCC-H/GCC environments and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Proven understanding of ISSO duties, Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes, and federal security compliance standards. Proficiency in using Xacta 360 or equivalent compliance management tools. Solid knowledge of FISMA, NIST standards, and federal cybersecurity practices. Strong ability to document, track, and communicate security issues and activities. Excellent organizational and coordination skills across cross-functional teams. Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related field. Professional certifications such as CAP (Certified Authorization Professional), CISSP, or CISM. Strong familiarity with NIST RMF and cybersecurity governance tools is essential. Preferred: Experience supporting cloud-based systems in a FedRAMP or DoD context. Knowledge of incident response frameworks and security operations.
