Part-time Phlebotomist

Job Title: Part-Time Phlebotomist Company: My Care Labs Location: Santa Rosa, CA About Us: My Care Labs is a leading diagnostic testing laboratory based in Fremont, CA, offering diagnostic testing services throughout California. We are dedicated to providing accurate and timely results to support patient care. We have recently acquired a new client in Santa Rosa and are looking for a skilled part-time Phlebotomist to join our team at the client's facility. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team on a part-time basis, working approximately 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience, a valid California Phlebotomy license, and expertise in handling hard sticks and performing venipunctures in areas involving the forearm and beyond the forearm. Key Responsibilities: Perform venipunctures and collect blood samples from patients efficiently and accurately. Handle hard sticks and perform blood draws in different areas besides the forearm. Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens. Prepare samples to be shipped or picked up. Utilize a centrifuge when needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Provide excellent patient care, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality. Follow all safety and infection control procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and My Care Labs team members. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Valid California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license. Proficiency in performing venipunctures, including hard sticks and alternative draw sites. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable transportation to and from the client's facility in Santa Rosa.
