It’s a split position, part on-site crew leadership, part warehouse management with the balance shifting through the year. Peak season (May–September) means more time on installs. Quieter months focus on keeping the warehouse running smoothly and ready for the next run of events.The RoleOn site (NE Somerset) – Head RiggerYou’ll be the senior person on site, responsible for making sure installs are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.You’ll BeLeading the crew and setting the tone on siteRunning toolbox talks and ensuring safe working practicesMaking sure installs are executed cleanly, accurately, and to specKeeping jobs on schedule and managing the pace of the dayActing as the main point of contact for clients on siteTroubleshooting issues as they arise — from access challenges to missing kitManaging and motivating a mix of freelance crewEnsuring sites are left clean, tidy, and client-readyIn the warehouse (NE Somerset) – Warehouse ManagerWhen you’re not on site, you’ll take ownership of the warehouse and everything that keeps jobs running behind the scenes.Managing stock – checking, testing, maintaining and tracking equipmentPreparing kit for upcoming jobs, ensuring everything is ready and in the right placeCarrying out repairs and maintenance on equipmentOverseeing safety and compliance (including testing and checks)Keeping vehicles roadworthy and organisedSupporting logistics, loading, and deliveriesMaintaining a clean, organised and efficient workspaceOverseeing warehouse assistants and crew when neededThe leadership sideThis isn’t just a technical Head Rigger & Warehouse Manager role – it’s about presence and leadership.Lead confidently and fairly, without egoHold people to high standards while keeping the team onsideMake decisions independently on siteWork with experienced freelancers and earn their respectCommunicate clearly and flag issues earlyEssentialsWhat we’re looking for:Strong experience in rigging, installation, or a similar field (events, AV, lighting, marquees, theatre)Proven experience leading teams on siteSolid understanding of health & safety and working at heightPrevious experience of working in a warehouse environmentReliable, committed and flexible (including weekends and early starts in peak season)Full UK driving licence and confidence driving vansComfortable taking ownership and being accountableWe look forward to hearing from you.Return to job search
