If you're passionate about detail-driven, high-quality work and want to make a meaningful impact on every project, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent in overseeing and managing the construction of unique, high-end residential projects from pre-construction through completion. In this role, you will help ensure smooth project operations by overseeing project documentation and information distribution while actively supporting the project team to ensure quality and timely execution from design through closeout.This role is ideal for a self-driven and collaborative individual who excels in communication, has strong attention to detail, and is highly organized with excellent multitasking skills. Success in this role requires the ability to address challenges as they arise while maintaining a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and balancing competing priorities across multiple jobs.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of and manage the organization and distribution of project documentation, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and related construction documentsAssist in developing scopes of work for subcontractors and issue subcontractsManage subcontractor documentation and compliance requirementsProduce, organize, maintain, and distribute project and photo documentationAssist with tracking project costs and supporting the preparation and management of change ordersOrganize the acquisition and management of materials inventory. Assist in ordering materials and equipment. Ensure that orders are placed on time and are delivered to the site according to the project scheduleSupport with developing the project scheduleSupport with preparing financial reportsCompile and distribute OAC meeting notes, run OAC meetings when neededCoordinate and organize the compilation of project closeout manuals, warranties, and lien releasesParticipate in on-site quality control inspections to help prevent mistakes and omissionsPerform additional tasks as directedQualifications & SkillsDegree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent industry experience3-4 years of construction or related project engineering roles, preferably in high-end residential constructionGood understanding of construction processes and materials, with an interest in learning moreAbility to read and interpret all construction drawings, including shop drawings for cabinets, steel, doors, and windowsOutstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with close attention to detailAbility to work as an individual contributor and as part of a larger project teamFlexibility to adjust and realign when project priorities changeExcellent oral/written communication and analytical skillsExperience with construction management software.(Autodesk Build, Procore, CoConstruct, etc.)Proficiency in Google Business Suite, Excel, Word, DocuSign, Dropbox, Bluebeam, Plan Grid, MS ProjectWhy Join UsWork on custom, architecturally significant residential projectsBe part of a team that values craftsmanship, creativity, and continuous learningGrow your career with a company that is committed to building not just homes—but lasting relationshipsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Health insurance and dental reimbursement planPaid time off and additional holidays401(k) retirement planDiscretionary BonusLocationOur office is based in Palo Alto, California.
