ENGINEER – RELIABILITY & PROJECTS SR Location: Victorville, CA (relocation available) Salary: $96,400 – $130,000 + 12% bonus Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Onsite) Travel: Approximately 50% | Weekend on-call required Our client, a global leader in heavy industrial manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Electrical & Automation Engineer to take ownership of plant-wide electrical, instrumentation, control, automation, and networking systems. This role is responsible for ensuring safe and reliable plant operations at the lowest life-cycle cost while developing and executing cost-effective projects that improve productivity across multiple facilities. This position oversees operations in: Victorville, CA Knoxville, TN Clinchfield, GA Position Overview The Reliability & Projects Engineer will: Ensure safe and reliable plant operations Identify and resolve chronic electrical and automation issues Manage full project lifecycle from design, programming, simulation, testing, commissioning, and documentation Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major failures Monitor and optimize predictive and preventive maintenance programs Review and update SOPs and maintenance procedures Track KPIs and reliability metrics Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodologies Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT teams Primary Technical Requirements Candidates must have hands-on experience with: High-voltage electrical power systems (440–480V and above) Electrical controls systems Industrial automation PLC logic and HMI programming Instrumentation and control devices MCCs, VFDs, transformers, and switchgear Process control networks and cybersecurity systems CMMS systems (SAP preferred) Preferred Industry Background Cement Aggregates / Mining Heavy Manufacturing Oil & Gas Automotive Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Networking Engineering 2-5 years of experience in electrical, automation and transformers within an industrial manufacturing environment Experience with reliability methodologies including RCA, FMEA, RCM, downtime analysis Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies Experience engineering and designing electrical/instrumentation/automation systems Proficiency with Rockwell and Modicon PLCs, HMIs, AutoCAD, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint Bilingual Spanish is a plus Additional Requirements Must be flexible as facilities operate 24/7 and emergency support may be required Weekend on-call coverage required Must be comfortable with approximately 50% travel and extended travel periods If you are a senior-level Electrical & Automation Engineer seeking a high-impact, multi-site reliability role within a stable global organization, we would welcome the opportunity to connect.
