Converting Machine Operator

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operatorto join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating converting machinery, maintaining production quality standards, handling materials, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced production setting. Key Responsibilities * Assist with all aspects of daily machine production, including loading, unloading, and moving materials, parts, and finished products manually or with equipment. * Set up and operate converting machinery to process tape products into various dimensions while maintaining quality and production standards. * Inspect raw materials for defects before and during production runs. * Monitor machine performance and identify operational issues, reporting concerns to supervisors promptly. * Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools and equipment. * Verify product quality throughout production and inspect finished goods for defects. * Follow written and verbal instructions to complete production and finishing tasks accurately. * Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift. * Transport finished products to designated staging or processing areas. * Adhere to all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. * Operate a forklift after successfully completing company-provided training and certification. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus. * Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to read and follow written instructions and work independently. * Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. * Willingness to learn new equipment and processes. * Forklift experience preferred but not required; training will be provided. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. * Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. * Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery.
