Manufacturing Technician

Scope of Position As a Manufacturing Technician at Calmer Corn Heads, you would be responsible for a variety of corn head assembly, welding and fabricating of parts and mechanical repairs, along with various other shop duties. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Perform advanced mechanical production on the corn head assembly line Troubleshoot, perform repairs, and maintenance to corn heads and other machinery Maintain current knowledge of Calmer Corn Heads and competitive products Must be able to operate a wide range of hand and power tools Be able to multitask between new production and repair work on used equipment Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Account for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties May perform in-field diagnosis and repair Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required Knowledge in agriculture is preferred 1 year manufacturing experience 1 year assembly experience Welding and fabrication experience required. Physical and Mental Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently. Must have excellent vision either naturally or with correction. Must be able to stand for long periods; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to reach hard to get at work areas; and use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects. Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odor, dust, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
