Packing Inspector

Job Summary:Packer/Inspector is responsible for the packaging of product and preparation of order shipments. This position is responsible for following shipment schedules, managing inventory, and updating packaging methods.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Required operations:PackagingMagnet handlingVisual inspectionFollows packaging log to choose appropriate packaging materialsSelects correct order information for labelsMicrosoft Excel and Word programsSuggests improvements to process or packaging methodsEnsures pack methods comply with blueprint and best practicesDocumentationReviews customer checklist to ensure proper documentation is suppliedUpdates station standardsUpdates packaging logInventoryInventory management and transfersManages consumablesShippingManages timely shipments per customer shipment scheduleCollaborates with operationsOther responsibilities:Makes suggestions for continuous improvementEnsures workstations are organizedFollows strict cleaning scheduleQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.Successful Essential Behaviors:Sense of urgency and ability to work at a quick pace.Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and regulations.Collaborative team player.Upholds organizational values and demonstrates integrity in all aspects of work.Possesses a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.Demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude toward achieving goals.Organized and neat with the ability to lead by exampleMust be committed to continuous improvementDemonstrates creativity in problem-solving and making innovative connectionsMust be able to work independently and take initiativeWork Environment and Physical Demands:Works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and occasional noise.Requires standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and lifting to 40 lbs.Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for detailed work.Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with safety and quality regulations.2nd shift - Monday through Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
