Snapology Instructor

We provide training and complete curriculum. You'll have everything you need at your fingertips.PositionInstructor – The primary focus of an Snapology Instructor will be to teach Snapology programs. Instructors promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. Programs are conducted for children ages 4-14, although not all instructors are required to teach all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.ResponsibilitiesLead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activitiesInstruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipmentManage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and proceduresMaintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of SnapologyEncourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategiesAdequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face-to-face training sessionsHandle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programsEncourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programsParticipate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as requiredQualificationsCriminal and Child Clearances must be current2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environmentEducation degree or teaching experience recommended, teachers, pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this positionAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with othersAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingProven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basisProgramsWeekday after-school and/or evening classesWeekend workshops and/or birthday partiesSummer campsSpecial events, holiday and break workshopsThis position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, Snapology Instructor typically work between 8-10 hours per week.Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hourJ-18808-Ljbffr
