Location: M. PeppersReports to: Chef de Cuisine (CDC) and Executive Chef (Chef)About M. Peppers:M. Peppers is an exciting neighborhood French bistro coming this spring to the Highlands. Focusing on traditional French cookery with local ingredients and a concentration on French and American wine and classic cocktails that pair harmoniously together.Overview:We are seeking an Prep Cook to support our kitchen team by preparing ingredients, sauces, and garnishes to ensure smooth service and to get a start on the day. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety. Your ability to maintain quality, consistency and cleanliness while working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen is crucial to delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.Key Responsibilities:Ingredient Preparation: Prep and portion ingredients, and prepare sauces for service.Food Quality & Consistency: Follow recipes and chef instructions to maintain high standards.Station Management: Keep workstations stocked, organized, and ready for service.Cleanliness & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, following all health and food safety guidelines.Inventory & Deliveries: Assist with tracking inventory, ordering, receiving deliveries, and proper food storage.Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth operations.Equipment & Waste Management: Safely use kitchen equipment and help minimize food waste.What We're Looking For:Experience as a Prep Cook or Line Cook in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen.Strong knowledge of food prep techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.Working in hot, humid, and noisy environments with hard surfaces.This position is 8am-4pm 5 days a week and must be available Saturdays and Sundays.Join our team and be part of an exciting culinary experience!Apply today!M.
